OH BOY SLANDERhttp://erza-scarlet-8.tumblr.com/post/100582537050/stolen-artEnvySkort
LOOK AT THIS.
LOOK AT THIS AND LAUGH.
But seriously. I was dealing with this person a few months ago in regards to some art theft issues. They had stolen some art, traced some art, and I and several others called them out.
So now she's "getting back" at me by accusing me of tracing.
The only time I ever traced was when I was 7 years old.
OH SNAP STORY TIME GO GET SOME POPCORN OR CHIPS.
So I was 7. Or 8. Something like that. Sonic the Hedgehog was the only thing on my mind at the time. I played the games, read the comics, watched the show. I even wrote half of a Sonic and Tails story that has succeeded in making my fiancee laugh and feel creeped out at the same time because of how damn surreal it was. So on my Dad's birthday, I decided I wanted to draw him a picture of Sonic. Thing i
refusing requests is not stingy ('tiny' rant)I think I gave my two cents on requests already longer time ago, don't remember, I'm old.... but recent activities (actually reading a journal that called people who don't do requests greedy and stingy) made me realize I might take a moment to remind people of a few things regarding requests ... and how I personally handle them.crimson-nemesis
basically, requests are a cool thing, it's free art done by people out of friendship, out of pure joy of sharing or out of good will... or maybe even boredom or the hope to increase popularity and/or reputation - all of these are good reasons but it should never be forgotten that it's always the artist's choice whether they do requests or not.
the good side of requests:
requests are great if you are new to DA - when you don't know many people and are likewise unknown, opening requets will attrackt people to come and check you out, might even order artwork from you. If you draw for them they'll appreciate it (if they're not spoiled brats) and that
Funny StoryIt's not a secret that Sally is my all time favorite cartoon character. It's also no secret that I have a five year old daughterKissTheThunder
Obviously, these worlds were destined to mix.
Mainly, my baby girl is a fan of Sonic Underground, particularly fond of Queen Aleena and her behind the scenes roll in the lives of the triplets. Still, she can often be found watching AoStH and laughing hysterically and of course, Satam! Her favorite episode is 'Sonic and Sally' and she actually re-enacted it while watching quite a few times.
One day she was in her room playing. I had given her my old jean vest from when I was a kid that I used when I pretended to be Sally and she's given it a lot of use.
Well, long story short, she walked out of her bedroom wearing absolutely nothing but that vest and declared proudly, "Look Mommy, I'm Princess Sally!"
I'm so proud!
